# Software for philosophy tutors who teach private lessons

Your students from September to the exam, the extra essay sessions in spring and what each family owes you, in one place.

Kadrella is private-lesson management software that fits independent philosophy tutors: weekly lessons per student, parents linked to students and a record of who has paid. Philosophy tutoring usually runs over one school year, up to an exam such as A-level Philosophy, IB Theory of Knowledge or the French bac: students arrive in the autumn or after a mock exam and leave once it is over. Kadrella does not mark essays: it runs your schedule and your money.

## What Kadrella does for a philosophy tutor

### Students for one year, up to the exam

Give each student a recurrence with an end date in June: lessons stop on their own after the exam, with nothing to delete by hand.

### The weeks before the exam

In spring, extra essay sessions sit next to the regular lessons. Your week stays readable in Google Calendar, with student and place (Essentials plan).

### Small essay groups

A lesson can include several students, each with their own price: three students working on essay structure on Saturday morning, or two classmates going over the same text.

### Who has paid this month

Each lesson taught adds to what the student or family owes, each payment you record brings it down, oldest lessons first. Late payers stand out, and the reminder goes out on WhatsApp when you click (Essentials plan).

### Cancellations the night before a mock exam

A student cancels at the last minute? You decide whether the cancellation is charged or free, and the family balance follows.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Kadrella mark essays?

No. Kadrella runs the organisation side of your lessons: schedule, students, families and payments. Essays get marked as before, on paper or in your documents.

### What happens to my students after the exam?

Lessons stop at the end date of their recurrence. The history of their lessons and payments stays available.

### Can I teach the same student philosophy and English?

Yes. The subject is set on each lesson, not on the student: one student can have philosophy on Tuesday and English on Thursday, each lesson at its own rate.

### How much does it cost?

The free plan covers students, lessons and payment tracking with no limit. Essentials (€29 a month) adds WhatsApp, Google Calendar, Superprof and Discord; Complete (€49 a month) adds invoicing, bank reconciliation and reports. No commission on your lessons.

### Do lesson reminders go out automatically?

No. When you create a lesson, Kadrella can send a confirmation on WhatsApp. It does not send an automatic reminder before each lesson, and payment reminders go out when you click.
