Software comparison

Best tutoring software in 2026

There is no single best tutoring software: the right pick mostly depends on your size. Agencies lean toward TutorCruncher, Teachworks or Ogust. Independent tutors and small businesses look at Kadrella, TutorBird or Teach'n Go. This comparison lays out pricing and use cases.

Updated 15 September 2026

Tutoring software handles the same tasks from one tool to the next: student management, lesson scheduling, invoicing, payment reminders and payment tracking. The differences come from the target audience, the country and the price. A tool built for a 50-tutor agency does not share the priorities of a tool for one tutor.

This comparison sorts tools by use case rather than by overall score, because the same software can be excellent for one business and wrong for another. Prices were read between 25 July and 30 September 2026 from each vendor's official pages. Kadrella is listed here as one option among others, with its strengths and its limits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best tutoring software?+

There is no single one. For an agency of more than 20 tutors, TutorCruncher or Teachworks are more complete. For an independent tutor or a small business, Kadrella, TutorBird or Teach'n Go fit better. For an approved French home-service provider, Ogust or PlatformEasy handle payroll and the tax credit.

Is there a free tutoring software?+

Kadrella offers a free forever plan with unlimited students and tutors. EasyWeek has a free plan capped at 30 bookings per month, and BaseCRM a free plan up to 500 clients (an Israeli tool priced in shekels). Most other tools (TutorBird, Teachworks, Teach'n Go, TutorCruncher) only offer a 14 to 30-day trial, with no permanent free plan.

Which software handles tax-credit certificates?+

French fiscal features are found in the French tools: Kadrella issues certificates for the 50% tax credit, while Ogust, PlatformEasy and Gestio go as far as the instant tax-credit advance through URSSAF. English-speaking tools (TutorCruncher, TutorBird, Teachworks, Teach'n Go) do not handle them.

Which software integrates with WhatsApp?+

Kadrella integrates WhatsApp natively to centralise family messages. EasyWeek offers WhatsApp reminders billed as an extra. The other tools mostly use email and SMS. Teachworks has no native WhatsApp integration (only via third-party connectors).

Which software for an independent tutor?+

A solo tutor wants a low price and a simple tool. Kadrella has a free plan and targets this profile, TutorBird is simple at $16.95/month, EasyWeek covers booking at low cost. Agency ERPs like TutorCruncher or Ogust are often too heavy for individual use.

Can you import your students from Superprof?+

To our knowledge, only Kadrella offers an automatic import from Superprof, the matching platform. The other software in this comparison does not have this feature and needs manual entry or a CSV import.

Which software has a native mobile app?+

Teach'n Go and PlatformEasy have a real native iOS and Android app. TutorBird, TutorCruncher, Teachworks and Kadrella don't have one yet, only a web version.

Which software has the most integrations?+

Teachworks claims more than 70 integrations, including QuickBooks, making it the most connected tool in this comparison. Kadrella focuses on a smaller set of integrations built specifically for tutoring: WhatsApp, Superprof, bank sync.

What's the cheapest software to start with?+

Not counting time-limited free trials, Kadrella, EasyWeek and BaseCRM are the only three tools in this comparison with a permanent free plan. EasyWeek caps out at 30 bookings a month, BaseCRM at 500 clients, Kadrella has no student or tutor limit.
