Solfeo alternative
Solfeo alternative: Kadrella, for tutors of any subject
Kadrella is a Solfeo alternative for tutors who go past 10 students, teach something other than music or work on WhatsApp. Its free plan has no student cap. Solfeo stays better for a music teacher in France who wants one-click tax certificates, CESU support and email reminders.
Updated 19 October 2026
Solfeo is a French app for independent music teachers, launched in 2026. It tracks monthly payments, handles paper CESU and e-CESU, shows the school holidays of your zone, emails a reminder the day before each lesson and generates tax certificates in one click. It is free up to 10 active students, then €15/month.
Kadrella targets a wider audience: tutors of any subject and small businesses with several tutors, in France or elsewhere. Its starting point is WhatsApp, with Superprof import and bank reconciliation. Kadrella does not generate tax certificates and sends no automatic reminders: on those two points, Solfeo does better.

- You want a lesson reminder emailed the day before, with nothing to do.

Moving from Solfeo to Kadrella
Solfeo lets you download your exports at any time. Prepare a CSV or Excel file of your students (name, contact, rate) and import it into Kadrella: columns are matched automatically. With 10 to 30 students, plan under an hour.
If you rely on Solfeo for your January tax certificates, keep the year’s payment data in Solfeo until you have generated them: Kadrella does not produce them.
Frequently asked questions
Is Solfeo free?+
Yes, up to 10 active students, with every feature and no time limit. Beyond that, Pro costs €15/month or €150/year (read 19 October 2026). The Kadrella free plan has no student cap.
Does Kadrella make tax certificates like Solfeo?+
No. Kadrella does not generate tax-credit certificates. Solfeo produces them in one click from January, with the CESU share, once your SAP number is set. If that is essential for you, Solfeo has the edge.
Does Kadrella suit music teachers?+
Yes, Kadrella is not tied to a subject: students, recurring lessons, payments and WhatsApp messages work the same for a piano or a maths lesson. It lacks Solfeo’s France-specific settings, such as school holidays by zone.
Does Solfeo send automatic reminders?+
Yes, an email goes to the student the day before each lesson. Payment reminders go out by email in one click, and SMS reminders are announced for later. Kadrella sends no automatic lesson reminder: only a WhatsApp confirmation when the lesson is created.
Which one for a music school with several teachers?+
Solfeo is built for one independent teacher and does not mention multi-teacher management. Kadrella handles several tutors in one account from the free plan. For a larger school with teacher payroll, also look at My Music Staff.
