Discord integration
Asking teachers whether the lesson really happened?
Your lessons happen on Discord. Kadrella looks at the call and tells you whether the lesson happened, and for how long.
In short
Kadrella's Discord integration checks that your online lessons really happened: it finds the Discord call between teacher and student and compares its length with the lesson's.
How it works
Your Discord account connected
Kadrella syncs, every day, the private and group conversations of the Discord account your lessons run on.
The call detected
After the lesson, Kadrella finds the call, compares its length with the planned lesson (on time, shorter or longer) and marks the lesson as Finished.
Nothing to start
Nobody has a button to press. If the call isn't found yet, Kadrella tries again later.
Getting started
- 01
In Integrations > Discord, follow the step-by-step guide to connect the account your lessons run on.
- 02
Kadrella links each Discord conversation to the right student and teacher.
- 03
After each lesson, Kadrella looks for the call and updates the lesson status.
Frequently asked questions
When does a lesson count as held?
When a call with at least two people starts within 3 hours of the lesson and lasts 75% to 120% of the planned time. Shorter or longer calls are flagged as such.
What if the call isn't found?
Kadrella tries again, up to three times, an hour apart.
Do I need to add a bot to a server?
No. Kadrella reads the private and group conversations of the connected account, where the lessons take place.
Can I turn the check off?
Yes. Lesson checks and message sync can each be turned off in the settings.
