Avance Immédiate Guarantee in France: Who Needs It
URSSAF requires some providers using France's instant tax-credit advance to file a financial guarantee by 31 October 2026. Who must, how much, how to file.

The avance immédiate financial guarantee is a certificate, issued by a bank or an insurer, that covers URSSAF if a French personal-services provider fails to repay money it owes, after an unpaid bill or a fraud. The rule has applied since 1 January 2025, and URSSAF set 31 October 2026 as the deadline to file the certificate. If you offer the instant tax-credit advance to the families you teach in France, you have a few days left to check whether it applies to you.
What the guarantee is for
With the instant advance, a family only pays its share: the 50% tax credit comes off at the moment of payment. In practice, you send a payment request, the family has 48 hours to approve it online, URSSAF debits the family's share two days later and pays you the full price of the lesson.
So URSSAF fronts money on behalf of the state. The guarantee lets it recover that money if a provider disappears or bills lessons that never happened. If the scheme itself is new to you, our guide to the instant tax-credit advance for tutors in France walks through the whole flow.
Does it apply to you?
The URSSAF FAQ on financial guarantees lists two cases, and only two:
- You use the deposit (acompte) feature of the scheme: the guarantee is required from the first euro you submit.
- You never use deposits: the guarantee becomes mandatory once your payment requests reach €200,000 in a calendar year.
A deposit is the part a family pays you directly and that you declare inside the payment request. URSSAF's own example: a €100 lesson where the family already paid you €50. You submit €100, declare a €50 deposit, and the full €100 counts toward the guarantee.
A tutor who never takes a deposit and bills less than €200,000 a year through the instant advance has no guarantee to file.
That describes a solo tutor who bills lesson by lesson. The one thing to check: does your invoicing software or platform declare deposits on your behalf? If you are unsure, ask the vendor before the end of the month.

The minimum depends on the amount of lessons declared through the scheme during the calendar year, deposits included. The first tiers of the URSSAF table:
Situation | Minimum guarantee |
|---|---|
No deposits, under €200,000 declared | Not required |
With deposits, under €200,000 declared | €15,000 |
€200,000 to €499,999.99 | €15,000 |
€500,000 to €999,999.99 | €20,000 |
€1,000,000 to €4,999,999.99 | €50,000 |
Higher tiers apply to large networks and reach €1,200,000 above €100 million. To size it, URSSAF suggests starting from last year's total of payment requests. If you join the scheme mid-year, use your forecast revenue instead.
Getting the certificate and filing it
There is no online form. Three steps:
- Ask a credit institution, a financing company or an insurer with its registered office in France or the European Economic Area. URSSAF does not publish a list of approved guarantors.
- Check the certificate against the template URSSAF provides. It does not pre-approve templates, so making sure every required detail is there is your job.
- Email it to [email protected] as early as you can, so it gets processed in time.
A parent company can negotiate one guarantee for several providers, as long as each one is named on the certificate with its SIRET number and an amount based on its own payment requests.
What happens without it
If a guarantee is required and URSSAF has not received it, the provider can no longer use the instant advance until a valid certificate has been filed and processed. Your families would fall back on the regular tax credit: they pay the full price and get the 50% back after filing their income tax return. The same block applies mid-year if you cross a tier without sending an updated certificate, which is why URSSAF recommends covering the whole year's volume from the start.
The government's personal-services site repeated the 31 October 2026 deadline in September. Kadrella does not handle the instant advance or URSSAF filings: do those through your URSSAF account or approved software. For families who pay without the advance and expect a tax certificate early in the year, our tax certificate generator is free.
